I had both my cats shaved (one long hair one short hair) four times over the past three years and never had any problems (we were all happier when they were buzzed!) until this last time. The long-haired cat's coat has grown back normally, but the short-haired hasn't! His top coat (the long strands) has grown in, but his undercoat hasn't at all - i can still see the marks from the clippers! Neither of them were shaved to the skin obviously - they were both buzzed to a #1 - like the times before - by a professional (and WONDERFUL) groomer. i have NO IDEA why his fur won't grow! if anyone has any ideas - i'd appreciate them! Thanks!
